StarClan is a peaceful Clan that most Clan cats visit when they die. When a cat dies, a StarClan warrior will guide them to the starry afterlife, typically a family member, mentor, or friend. Burials are especially important to the Clans, because a cat who is not properly buried is said to be lost to StarClan, and cannot be guided to the afterlife. There are no borders in StarClan, and while many cats may choose to stay nearby their past clanmates, it is not uncommon to see cats intermingling and sharing tongues with cats who were from other Clans. Cats will take the form of when they were happiest here, and will always be warm, full, and rested. Until a cat is forgotten, they will get to live out the rest of their days in this peaceful world, and once they are forgotten they will fade away and be reborn once again.
StarClan is always sunny and comfortable, and any other weather is generally pleasant. The forests are tall and always full and green, and the grass that covers the territory is as soft as down. The water is crystal clear and cool, allowing cats to see all of the fish swimming within the water. The territory is seemingly endless, but it does have a border.
StarClan is connected to the Dark Forest, but it can only be found if one is searching for it. No cat will accidentally wander into the Dark Forest, but they must remain vigilant, as it's said the Dark Forest is always calling out to cats, trying to drag them down into the fog. The entrance to the Dark Forest appears as a wall of swirling fog with no ends, and if one were to pass through it, they would end up in the Place of No Stars.

THE PLACE OF NO STARS
The Place of No Stars is a cruel, cold world where cats who have committed great crimes during their lifetimes go when they die. Similarly to StarClan, the Dark Forest is a reflection of the lake territories, only dark and unforgiving. Cats who go here are plagued by the wailing of innocent, suffering cats and a constant hunger, and mostly wander in solitude, their forms slowly degrading and becoming unrecognizable the longer they stay there. A dense fog covers the territory at all times and surrounds it like a barrier, preventing any cats from escaping into StarClan. Cats who are not forgotten are cursed to spend eternity here as the forest mutates them, and those who are forgotten slowly fade away. It's believed their souls add to the fog once they are finally forgotten, never to be reborn again.
The trees here are hard and barren and difficult to climb, and not a single blade of grass can be found anywhere within the territory. The water is unnaturally thick and a deep red reminiscent of blood, and the marshes and riverbanks are muddy and dangerous like quicksand. There is no sun, moon, or stars in the sky, which is rarely ever seen anyway, and the forest is lit with a dull, ominous glow.

OTHER
It is said that cats who do not believe in StarClan or have lost their way will not go to any kind of afterlife. No one really knows what happens to these lost cats, but some say that they freely wander the world, free of hunger and tiredness to explore, or that they're reborn again, and given another chance at life. But others believe that these cats haunt the places where they died, unable or unwilling to find their way to StarClan and bring misfortune upon any living cat who disturbs them. It is said that the morning mist off the lake is all of the souls of the lost cats, being chased away from the living world by the sun.
